Become a Freemason
To become a Freemason and a proud member of Acacia Lodge No. 32, under the jurisdiction of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Virginia, a man must meet certain qualifications that reflect the principles of our Craft.
Membership is open to men who are:
- At least 18 years of age
- Of good moral character and reputation
- Believers in a Supreme Being who promotes peace, love, and harmony among all mankind
Each petitioner must be recommended by two Master Masons in good standing, who can personally vouch for his character and integrity.
Membership Petition
Freemasonry is a journey that begins by a man’s own free will and accord. No invitations are issued, nor is anyone ever solicited to join. If you are interested in learning more about the Craft, you may speak with a Masonic friend or contact our Lodge Secretary for guidance and further information.
Every petition for membership undergoes a process of careful review and investigation to ensure that each candidate is worthy of the trust and responsibilities that Freemasonry entails.
Once the petition is approved by the members of the Lodge, the candidate is welcomed to begin his journey into this ancient and honorable Fraternity.

Within our Lodge, every Mason is taught a pattern for living—one grounded in reverence, morality, kindness, honesty, dependability, and compassion. A Mason is expected to honor his country, uphold its laws, respect those in authority, and maintain honorable relations with all people.
